Riviera Preparatory School encourages reading enrichment throughout the year. During the summer break from school and the formal study of literature, it is important that students continue to grow in their literary experiences and critical reading development. A list of the summer reading assignments for our students is provided below. These works of literature should be added to your personal summer reading selections.
You will notice that we are asking all students, parents, faculty, and staff to read one (1) common text. This book, in many ways, reflects Riviera’s mission to enable students to realize their creative and intellectual potential and to use their talents for the well being of others as well as themselves.
Beyond this school wide text, students in each incoming grade level are assigned two (2) specific works relevant to the grade’s curricular focus in Language Arts.
Enjoy the summer!
