Summer Assignments
DAY SCHOOL
This summer, students in grades 2-5 are required to complete the assigned reading in preparation for the upcoming school year. Math assignments are optional, but encouraged.

PREPARATORY SCHOOL
Riviera Preparatory School REQUIRES both summer reading and summer math review. All activities are graded and become one or more of the first quarter grades. Click on the reading and math links for detailed information.
English Language Arts:
Students are required to read the novel(s) listed for their grade level. During the first week of school, students will complete a classwork assignment in their English class that will assess their knowledge and comprehension of the required reading. This assignment will serve as one of their first grades of the quarter.
Mathematics:
Each student has been assigned a summer math assignment that reviews key concepts and skills. These assignments are intended to support a strong and confident start to the academic year. All work is due on the first day of school and will be recorded as a required assignment grade.
