Physical Education

Students in preschool through seventh grade have physical education as a regular part of their schedule. Students work on conditioning, basic skills, and team sports appropriate for each age level.

The physical education program is designed to promote overall physical fitness, provide a general knowledge of various team sports, and support holistic student development.

Students focus on volleyball, football, soccer, basketball, badminton, kickball, Ultimate Frisbee, swimming, weight training, dance, personal fitness, and more. The curriculum includes sportsmanship, safety, strategy, offensive and defensive elements, conditioning activities, and physical assessments.

In South Florida, swimming and water safety are paramount. Therefore, students in grades one through five participate in mandatory swim instruction at the beginning and at the end of the school year.
