Stem : Grades 7 - 12

Students in grades 7 and 8 interested in STEM may choose to integrate such coursework into their schedules. Through topics like robotics, flight and space, and DNA and crime scene analysis, students engage their natural curiosity and imagination in creative problem solving. These classes offer middle school students a path to and preview of any of our three high school PLTW courses of study.

The high school STEM curriculum offers some of our most intensive, challenging, engaging, and popular classes. Students may select from tracks in Biomedical Science, Engineering, or Computer Science. Classroom activities and real-world experiences such as internships prepare students for success in an increasingly competitive economy.

"Riviera's exemplary biomedical program has not only taken me into the medical field, but it has taught me to think critically as if I were a doctor. The program has also given me a taste of the rigor of the medical field, and the joy of dedicating my time to science."
- Meagyn Del Rey, Class of 2016
