Student progress at Riviera Schools is measured through MAP testing, progress reports, report cards, semester exams, honor rolls, honor society inductions, and quarterly award ceremonies.

Across Riviera’s advanced STEM pathways, students engage in project-based, hands-on learning that builds critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving skills. Through nationally recognized Project Lead The Way (PLTW) programs in Engineering, Biomedical Science, and Computer Science, students explore rapidly growing fields while applying their learning in meaningful, practical ways.
Students can also deepen their interests through Architecture, where they study design, spatial planning, and structural concepts while examining how architecture shapes communities and the built environment. Across these specialized programs, Riviera connects theory and practice through experiential learning and hands-on projects, helping students strengthen analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and professional awareness.
Through World Languages at Riviera’s Prep Campus, students strengthen both linguistic ability and cultural awareness by studying Spanish, Italian, and French. These courses build strong communication skills and encourage students to discover different traditions, perspectives, and global experiences.
Progress in language acquisition is supported through continuous grading and assessment, helping students grow in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension. Students may also have the opportunity to prepare for AP exams when applicable, reinforcing the school’s advanced placement offering in Miami.
