Kindergarten Promotion is a joyful Riviera tradition that celebrates one of the first major milestones in a student’s educational journey. The ceremony honors the growth, confidence, and accomplishments of our youngest learners as they complete Kindergarten and prepare for the transition into elementary school. Surrounded by families, teachers, and classmates, students celebrate a year of discovery, friendship, and foundational learning. It is a meaningful moment that reflects the nurturing environment of Riviera Day School and the strong sense of belonging students develop from the very beginning. Kindergarten Promotion marks both a proud achievement and the start of an exciting next chapter.

Step to the Prep is a meaningful Riviera tradition that celebrates the transition from Riviera Day School to Riviera Prep. This milestone honors Grade 5 students for the growth, character, and accomplishments they have developed during their elementary years, while welcoming them into the next stage of their academic journey. The ceremony recognizes the strong foundation students have built in the Day School and the readiness they bring to Middle School. In this brand new program, you will have the opportunity to watch your child grow their creative confidence as they dive into an enriching art framework exclusively designed by the ILOS team for students and teachers of ISP Artists. This framework will allow students to explore their creativity as they familiarize themselves with different techniques, mediums, and themes. Additionally, students will participate in two live-streamed sessions facilitated by experts in the field who will support the students in developing their creative confidence.

ISP Changemakers, formerly known as ISP Futures, provides schools with tools and methodologies for developing projects focused on social impact. This will enable communities to take action to address strategic issues relevant to their group and their future.

Being a part of this program has helped me in things I didn't imagine it would. Because of ISP, I haven't just learned about the environment and how to be more eco-friendly, but I have also earned new friends. It even motivated me to come to school doing this every day. I didn't imagine I would love plants and taking care of the environment like this.

ISP Chess Masters
Programme highlights
ISP Chess Masters grows students’ skills and teamwork by connecting them with other ISP students to play fast chess in online and in-person tournaments in local, regional and global contexts.

I love chess and having the opportunity to get better at it through tournaments is simply amazing. You can share ideas about moves and your style of playing at the same time as playing, you can play with people you don't know and all of that with no material needed, just a computer.

ISP Filmmakers is a multi-disciplinary project in which students learn the importance of collaboration in achieving the common goal of producing a film, its trailer and poster. It provides insights into career pathways in film and media.

This programme really improves your understanding of filmmaking, planning, scenes shots and will really help you on your application later on for university. It also teaches you to work together on camera shots and editing that for sure will be needed in the future.
