Learning Center

At Riviera’s Day School campus, the Learning Center gives students dedicated one-on-one support in the areas where they need it most, helping them build skills, confidence, and momentum throughout the school day.

It is also a place where advanced learners can thrive, with individualized instruction that allows them to move ahead in a focused, supportive environment.  To keep progress aligned, Learning Center staff work closely with classroom teachers and offer both in-school scheduling and limited after-school sessions when needed at a leading private school in Coral Gables.

After-school help sessions

For students in Grades 1 – 5, teachers offer after-school help sessions about twice each month, creating extra time for targeted support beyond the regular school day.

These sessions give selected students the opportunity to receive additional help, take part in enrichment activities, or collaborate on group projects in a focused, supportive setting. This reflects the personalized attention families value in an independent school in Coral Gables.

Tutorial support

For students in Grades 6 – 12, daily tutorial sessions provide dedicated time to meet one-on-one with teachers for extra support, added clarification, and guidance in any subject area.

These sessions are built into the school day, giving students regular access to personalized help whenever they need it most. This student-centered approach is part of what distinguishes Riviera among Miami prep schools.
